Aluminum Roofing FAQs | Aluminex

Is aluminum roofing noisy?

Aluminum roofing is not noisy when installed correctly. With proper insulation, underlayment, and secure fixing, noise from rain or wind is significantly reduced—often making it as quiet as traditional roofing materials.

Yes. Aluminum roofing is highly resistant to corrosion and rust, making it an excellent choice for coastal and high-humidity areas where salt air can damage other roofing materials.

PVDF coating is extremely durable and can last 20–30 years or more. It offers excellent resistance to fading, peeling, and chalking, even under harsh weather and strong sunlight.

Insulation is available as an option. Aluminum roofing can be supplied with thermal and sound insulation to improve comfort, reduce heat, and minimize noise, depending on your project requirements.

Aluminum roofing is lighter, more corrosion-resistant, and has a longer lifespan compared to GI sheets. While GI sheets may have a lower initial cost, aluminum offers better durability, lower maintenance, and superior performance—especially in coastal and industrial environments.
